JAY DAHZEN

 

Spontaneous vocals reach and mesmerise through ethereal, warm contralto tones. Jay explores her Wiradjuri language, global issues and otherworldly healing mantra extending three octaves. Piano, synth, organ and melodica contribute to complex soundscapes and the simple beauty of light, meditative & instinctive melody. (She draws on decades of community and international jazz performance.)

 

(An award winning Arts Events Producer and Director, Jay is equally at home performing in inner-city jazz clubs, galleries, festivals, hotels, cruising at sea, opera houses or in remote outback halls.

Her music is informed by her work in Justice, Dance, Agriculture and Education and inspired by intuitive collaboration.)
